This project encompassed the full desconstruction and redesign of the Cenacle Retreat Center and Convent in Ronkonkoma, New York. The nearly 85-year-old retreat was too big, too drafty and too expensive to properly utilize or heat. The new Cenacle Retreat Center and Convent is an environmentally sustainable building designed to achieve LEED Gold certification. The sustainable design includes radiant-heated floors, geothermal heating and cooling, and an abundance of natural light throughout the 48,769-square-foot building.
