The project encompassed construction of new foundation walls, hurricane-resistant poured concrete and masonry extension of pre-existing 14-foot high walls to 30 feet, new concrete parapets crowning the walls and expansion of the building to the side. It also included a new 175-foot-long, hurricane-resistant masonry storefront with glass glazing, replacement and reinforcement of portions of the roof’s steel structure and installation of a Seloflex roof recovery system.
