The Margo: Mixed-Use Residential

The Margo, located at 180 Myrtle Avenue in Brooklyn, joins The Andrea and The Giovanni as the third mixed-use residential building in the Myrtle Avenue development master plan. The three buildings re-energize Myrtle Avenue and bring the neighborhood together, reconnecting Fort Greene and Downtown Brooklyn.

Completed in September 2016, the ground-up construction of the new mixed-use 15-story apartment building containing 228 residential units has been designed by Dattner Architects to comply with the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal (HCR) Green Buildings Guidelines.

The Margo's  “L”-shaped building design steps down from 15 stories to 13 to sit atop a base of retail. A landscaped roof terrace over the first story podium provides residents with south-facing gardens and a variety of outdoor amenities to enjoy. The second floor amenity spaces open to their own terrace area. The Margo has 228 apartments in studio, one and two bedroom configurations. Under the New York State 80/20 Housing Program, 20% of the apartments are designated as affordable housing.
