Pop Pub

Located between Manhattan's Greenwich Village and Union Square areas, Mc Gowan transformed this boxed white commercial space into a trendy burger restaurant with a fully equipped commercial kitchen, a bar with lounge area and a cellar-level food service prep / storage area.

The interior aesthetics and design include custom reclaimed-wood chairs and tables, banquets, booths, drinking bar and wall paneling. Custom blackened-steel light fixtures top off the rustic décor mixed with chic water-cut aluminum paneling highlighted within a featured wall. The bar incorporates a poured epoxy top, glass fronts and a twelve-stem bar tap, as well as integration with full-service wireless POS systems.

The AV system incorporates reclaimed wood into speaker boxes for the oversized sound system. The kitchen was fit out with a new exhaust hood and riser to the ten-story roof, full range cooking and walk-in refrigeration. The work scope also included upgrades of all MEP systems: plumbing, sprinkler, HVAC, fire alarm and electric systems.
